India welcomes Sudanese peace agreement reached in Kenya
Khartoum, 27 Sept 27, 2003 (SUNA) — India has welcomed the recent framework agreement signed in Naivasha, Kenya, between the Sudanese government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) regarding the security arrangements during the interim period.
A statement issued Friday by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the wisdom and mutual confidence of the two parties to achieve this great development in the peace process.
The statement expressed India’s hope that the framework agreement would support the efforts towards the achievement of a comprehensive peace agreement.
