Sudanese energy minister discusses oil with Kenyan counterpart

Aug 29, 2005 (Khartoum) — Minister of Energy and Mining Dr Awad Ahmad Al-Jaz discussed with his Kenyan counterpart on Monday [29 August] ways of boosting joint cooperation in the oil sector.

Dr Al-Jaz briefed the visiting Kenyan minister on progress of oil industry in Sudan, while he, in turn, was briefed on oil developments in Kenya.

The two ministers inaugurated an exhibition held in the Friendship Hall on the occasion of the country’s celebrations of the sixth anniversary of export of the Sudanese petroleum.

The Kenyan Minister of Energy arrived in the country Sunday evening [28 August] at the invitation of Minister of Energy and Mining Dr Awad Al-Jaz to take part in the country’s celebrations of the sixth anniversary of export of the Sudanese petroleum.
