Governors for northern states to be sworn-in on 3 September

Sept 2, 2005 (Khartoum) — President of the Republic, Field Marshal Umar al-Bashir, has issued a republican decree appointing Eng Al-Haj Attal-Manan as the Wali (governor) of South Darfur State.

Meanwhile, the new Walis (governors) of the northern states are due to take oath Saturday [3 September] before the president of the republic.
