SPLM rejects any compromise on ministry of Energy

Sept 11, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The schedule for announcing the transitional government still unknown because the dispute between the ruling National Congress (NC) and SPLM on who should take the ministry of energy and mining is ongoing.

energy_mining.jpgAccording to the pro-government Sudan Media Center (SMC) SPLM is insisting to have the position of minister energy and refusing any compromise on the issue.

Sudanese First V.P. Salva kiir and chairman of SPLM who is in Juba since two days ago is expected bank in Khartoum today.

Al Ray Alaam newspaper said Kiir mission in Juba aims at conducting more consultations with his Movement senor officials regarding the formation of the federal government.

Sudanese President and the Second Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha were meet the day before yesterday until late in the night and deliberated intensively on the issue of forming the new government.

Deputy President for southern government Riak Mashar denied reaching any compromise with National Congress on energy.
