New govt to be announced soon – Sudanese president

Sept 17, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The transitional government scheduled to be announced soon will reflect the largest participation for Sudanese political parties, said Sudanese President Omar al Bashir on Saturday.

According to SUNA, Bashir told reporters who accompanied him during his visit to Egypt that the new ministerial formation for the transitional national unity government will be announced soon.

He added that a meeting is scheduled to be held tonight in this regard, indicating that only three parties will be outside the government including the Umma party led by Sadiq al Mahdi, in addition to the Popular Congress Party of Hassan al Turabi and the Communist Party.
