Yemeni agriculture ministry delegation visits Sudan
Sept 23, 2005 (SANAA) — A delegation from Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and Yemeni economic association, headed by the assistance deputy for agriculture affairs Salih Muthana, left on Friday 23 September to Sudan in an a few-day official visit.
During the visit, the delegation would discuss with Sudanese officials in agriculture and investment ministries the ways of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries in agriculture and investment terms.
In remarks to Saba, Muthana said the Sudanese government gifted Yemen two areas to make investment projects in agriculture field, the first area is in al-Jazeera State and the other in Sinar State.
The projects that would be implemented in that areas will support the bilateral relations between the two countries in terms of agriculture and economy, he added.
The visit came in accordance with directions by Prime Minister Abd-al-Qadir Ba-Jammal to form a committee including agriculture ministry and Yemeni economic association, Muthana said, adding that the visit would also came in the framework of the signed agreements between the two countries.
