First VP, Transport minister discuss reconstruction in S. Sudan
Sept 24, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese First Vice-President Salva Kiir Mayardit has affirmed the government concern with transport for enhancing the process of development and reconstruction in Southern Sudan.
Following his meeting with Salav Kiir in the Republican Palace Saturday, the minister of Transport, Roads and Bridges Kuwal Menyang said the priorities of his Ministry is the concern with river transport and railways so as to contribute to development and construction.
The minister said the implementation of the peace agreement is a big challenge for the people and the government institutions and required concerted efforts and cooperation for accomplishment of the tasks of the interim period.
