Arman chosen leader of the SPLM parliamentary bloc
Sept 27, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) MP, Yasir Arman, has been chosen leader of the SPLM parliamentary bloc in a meeting held yesterday.
Three other MPs, including a woman, were chosen as members of the grouping’s executive office.
Speaking to the Al-Ayam newspaper, SPLM MP Yasir Jaffar said Arman had been chosen unanimously because of his abilities and his strong understanding of the SPLM programme.
Jaffar further said SPLM MPs aimed to finalize the formation of their parliamentary grouping, consisting of between 15 and 20 members, after the parliamentary recess, which began Sunday 25 September.
