Election of Miss Southern Sudan

Oct 1, 2005 (NAIROBI) — Rebbeca Yom, 21, won the Miss Malaika Southern Sudan (Miss Angel in Swahili language) title today in Nairobi.

This is the first time that southern Sudan participates in such event, which is organized by young Sudanese artists resident in Nairobi in cooperation with the Kenyan Delta Company and some international NGOs.

Yom will travel to South Africa to compete for the Miss Malaika Africa title later this year.
