Eritrea, Libya discuss peace process in Sudan
Oct 3, 2005 (ASMARA) — Eritrean President Isayas Afewerki, today, held talks with Libyan government delegation led by head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Suleiman al-Shahabi on the Sudan.
According to Radio Asmara, President Isayas and the Libyan government delegation discussed peace and stability in Africa and the Horn of Africa in general and the Sudanese peace situation in particular.
They have reached an understanding that the two countries should make concerted efforts towards realizing peace and stability in Sudan.
Al-Shahabi delivered the message to President Isayas Afewerki at the Denden Hall.
The two sides discussed on ways and means of further strengthening existing relations.
