Sudan Vice President holds talks with Saudi leaders on Arab, Islamic issues
RIYADH, Oct 04, 2003 (KUNA) — Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Mohammad Taha, who arrived here on Saturday on a two-day official visit, held talks shortly after arrival with the top leaders of the Gulf State on a host of issues including Arab and Islamic affairs.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Taha held the discussions, in separate meetings, with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the National Guard Prince Abdulah Bin Abdel Aziz.
The talks dealt with a host of issues on the Arab and Islamic arenas, the Palestinian cause, Iraq and means of promoting bilateral ties, SPA said.
The Sudanese official, immediately after arrival held talks of similar nature with the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and the General Inspector, Prince Sultan Bin Abdel Aziz.
Taha’s visit to the Kingdom is part of an Arab tour partly aimed at briefing leaders of the Arab states about the recent record agreement, signed by the Sudanese government with the Sudanese opposition.
