Taha to lead Sudanese delegation to Cairo meeting
Oct 27, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The second vice-president of the Republic, Ali Osman Taha, will lead Sudan’s delegation to a joint Sudanese- Egyptian committee meeting in November.
The joint committee will hold its routine meeting in Cairo on 12 November and will run for two days.
The meeting will be preceded by a ministerial meeting to be held on 10-11 November. The meeting will discuss ways of implementing the agreements signed between the two countries on animal resources, trade: health and training.
The committee meetings should also discuss causes behind the delay of exporting meat to Egypt according to assigned deal on this aspect.
The deal on meat exportation stipulated that Egypt should pay 50% in cash and 50% as cement. Out of the total 1500 tons of meat stated in deal about 1315 tons were exported to Egypt.
