China Communist party praises realizations of Sudan ruling NC
Nov 23, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday praised the achievements made by Sudan’s National Congress (NC) party under the leadership of the country’s President Omar al-Bashir since the NC took power in 1989.
Zhai Weihua, representative of the CPC’s Central Committee, delivered a message of congratulation to the NC at the inauguration session of the NC’s general conference which kicked off in the Sudanese capital Khartoum earlier in the day.
“On the occasion of the NC’s general conference, the CPC’s Central Committee would like to congratulate the Sudanese National Congress party for its achievements,” the message said.
It added that the NC, headed by al-Bashir, has made great contributions to Sudan’s national unity and social progress and economic development.
“We would like to express our admiration to the achievements you have realized,” said the message.
“The recent years have witnessed friendly exchanges between the Sudanese National Congress and the Communist Party of China on all levels,” it said, adding that the CPC would exert more efforts to enhance the friendly ties with the NC.
About 6,000 NC members, a number of leaders and representatives of other Sudanese political parties and civil organizations as well as foreign ambassadors in Khartoum attended the opening ceremony of the NC’s general conference which is expected to last three days.
