Minister calls European companies to invest in Sudan
Nov 26, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — State Minister at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Ahmed Magzoub, invited the European investors to invest in the field of infrastructure and water in Sudan.
He has called on the European companies and corporations to activate their economic relations with Sudan which were suspended for political reasons.
Al-Magzoub said — in a Symposium on investment development in the Arab states and technology transfer through Arab- European cooperation, which was held here Saturday — that a number of European companies desire to invest in Sudan but they are constrained by the previous political classification.
He called on the institutions to urge the donors to meet their pledges in Oslo for the benefit of these institutions.
The State Minister reviewed the economic reforms effected in the country and the attractive Investment Act in the country, lauding the developed Sudan commercial relations with China and a number of Asian and Arab countries.
He extended invitation to the European investors to invest in the field of infrastructure and water in Sudan.
