Sudan, French hotels group ink deal to manage African, Arab summits
Dec 4, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — An agreement was signed between the government of Sudan and Accor International Group regarding the management of the presidential villas during the convocation of the African and Arab Summit Conferences.
The two conferences are scheduled to be held in Khartoum.
The agreement was signed by the representative of the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Abubakar Mohamed and the Regional Director of Accor for Africa and Middle East, Abdelrahman Balgat.
Addressing the signing ceremony at the location of the presidential villas, the representative of the minister of finance expressed satisfaction over the agreement, referring to the expertise of the company, which manages some 4000 hotels around the world.
The French Ambassador to Sudan lauded the pioneering role of Accord international company in the field of hotel services.
The Regional Manager of Accord Company reiterated happiness to cooperate with Sudan government, saying his company would import its long experience to Sudan.
