Sudan’s Beshir, Ethiopia’s Zenawi to meet in Khartoum

Dec 10, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, and the Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi will hold a joint mini summit in Khartoum next Thursday 15 December to discuss issues regarding the African continent, and bilateral ties.

The Sudanese ambassador to Ethiopia, Abuzayd al-Hassan, has said that the summit between al-Bashir and Males is considered to be the first since the elevation of the joint technical committee to a joint ministerial committee last April.

In a press statement, the ambassador has said that several joint ministerial committees are currently preparing agreements and the necessary protocols for their implementation.

He further said that the joint ministerial committee will approve these agreements and protocols at the end of its activities.
