Sudanese – Ethiopian ministerial committees to meet 14 December
Dec 11, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The joint Sudanese – Ethiopian ministerial committees are due to begin their meetings in Khartoum next Wednesday, co-chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
The economic committee will be co-chaired by the Sudanese and Ethiopian Ministers of Finance, as the security and defence committee will be co-headed by the Ministers of Defence of the two countries.
The joint committees will discuss ways to consolidate the cooperation between the two countries in all domains.
Sudan Ambassador to Addis Ababa, Abu-Zaid Al-Hassan, in a statement to SUNA, said that a number of agreements and protocols in the economic, social, education, health, justice and agricultural fields will be signed during the meetings of the joint committees.
He indicated that joint executive programmes will be submitted to the summit between President Omer Al-Bashir and Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, which will convene next Thursday in Khartoum. Meanwhile, the joint Sudanese – Ethiopian committees’ meetings at the level of experts began Sunday in Khartoum.
The experts’ committees are four for political, economic, social affairs and transport and telecommunication issues.
