Sudan’s cabinet welcomes NDA ministers

Dec 18, 2005 (KHARTOUM) -In a session chaired by the President Omer al-Bashir, the Council of Ministers Sunday welcomed the participation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ministers.

He expressed appreciation for this participation which comes within the context of boosting the Government of National Unity.

The NDA ministers are Lt. Gen. Abdelrahman Saeed, Minister of Science and Technology, and Hamid Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister for Education.

The two ministers and Abdelrahim Ali Hamd, the state minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry were yesterday sworn in at the Republican Palace before the Sudanese president.

The Council of Ministers has meanwhile congratulated the Christians on the occasion of the advent of Christmas, wishing Sudan comprehensive peace, development and progress.
