National news agency urged to open branches in South Sudan
Jan 5, 2005 (JUBA) — Vice-President of southern Sudan Riek Machar has called for the need to set up branches of Sudan News Agency SUNA in all southern states.
He pointed out the importance of connecting all the states with the presidency in Juba and Khartoum so that the southern states may keep up with current developments in globalization, SUNA reported.
This came during his meeting, at this office at the HQs of the southern government, with the Suna delegation in Juba chaired by Umr Sa’dan, with the attendance of Paul Warir, the general manager of the Ministry of Information, Radio and Television in the south.
