Ogaden rebel leader urges unity against government
Jan 10, 2006 (ADDIS ABABA) — The chairman of the rebel Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman, has addressed the Ogaden people, in southeastern Ethiopia, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing them to celebrate the next event in good health and independence.
Osman, called on Somalis of Ogadenia to unite in the struggle spearhead by the ONLF against colonial Ethiopia.
He also called on Somalis of Ogadenia to desist from fratricidal clashes that occur in Ogadenia, which were fanned by Ethiopian authorities seeking to destroy their power and wealth.
