South Sudan to hold investment conference in March
Jan 18, 2006 (NAIROBI) — A southern Sudan investment conference will be held in Nairobi in the middle of March to woo investors into the region, the Sudan radio service (SRS) reported.
Speaking to Sudan radio service on phone on Monday in Nairobi the program director of bread of life Africa, bola, Malei Nthiwa, said the conference will bring together decision-makers and potential investors to discuss development in southern Sudan
Nthiwa said the conference will also discuss partnership between the international companies and the local private sector in southern Sudan.
“We are organizing the investment and development conference in conjunction with the government of southern Sudan, the CWC group in London and al-Bader group. And it is going to be in March 14th to 15th at the safari park here in Nairobi”, Malei said.
“Our target is we want to have at least 3 hundred to 4 hundred organizations and companies to come and participate in this very important investment forum.” he further added.
He said the event will encourage investors to invest in southern Sudan.
Top SPLM officials are expected to attend the 2-day conference starting on March 14th at the safari park hotel in Nairobi.
