Ukraine to supply five An-74 light turbo jets to Sudan
Feb 6, 2006 (KHARKIV) — The Kharkiv aviation plant has signed a contract to supply five An-74, a multifunctional light turbo jet planes of various modifications to Sudan, the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported.
The An-74 is intended for transportation of freights and people on airlines of average extent in any climatic conditions and on any latitudes, including conditions of Arctic and in high mountain regions.
The contract was signed at the end of 2005, he said.
The implementation of the contract could begin right after it comes into force, he said. It is planned to produce a plane every two months.
The contract is worth 85m dollars and will come into force in March 2006.
The identity of the Sudanese client is not revealed.
