Ethiopia, Sudan hold conference of border areas in March

Feb 20, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — The eighth session of the conference on development of border areas between Sudan and Ethiopia is scheduled to be held on March 6-8 in Bhar Dar, capital of the Ethiopian Amhara Region.

Plenipotentiary minister at the Sudanese Embassy in Addis Ababa Abu-Bakr Hussein said in a statement to the official SUNA that these meetings are held every six months alternately in one of the capitals of border regions in the two countries.

He pointed out that the conference will review implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the previous session.
