A Kuwaiti child donates USD 50,000 to southern Sudanese children
Mar 12, 2006 (JUBA) — A Kuwaiti child, Khalid Muath Al-Fhaid gave a generous donation of USD 50,000 to the children of southern Sudan.
This gift is from the loving children of Kuwait to draw smiles on the faces of the southern Sudanese children, Khalid said Saturday when handing in the donation to the Governor of the Southern Sudanese State of Bahar aljabal in Juba.
He urged the Sudanese leaders to take care of the children and to put them on top of their priorities considering them the future and the most affected by the wars.
The Governor thanked Khalid and said that Kuwaitis are people of high virtues and manners. He stressed that Khalid will be a successor of his father Muath Al-Fhaid, Board Chairman of the Kuwaiti-Sudanes Investment Company which established the first and one of the greatest developmental projects in southern Sudan after signing the Peace Agreement.
