Sudanese president leaves for regional summit in Kenya
Mar 19, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — The President Omar Al-Bashir on Sunday left for the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, leading Sudanese delegation the two-day IGAD heads of state summit.
The summit will review a number of issues of interest to the region as well as the questions of conflict and debts that face the organization.
A high level delegation including the Minister For International Cooperation, Tigani Fidail, and Minister of State For The Presidency, Telar Reng Deng. The President is set to meet a number of African heads of state and government taking part in the summit.
He was seen off at the Khartoum Airport by the first vice-president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, the president’s assistant, Nafi Ali Nafi, as well as a number of ministers and government officials.
