GENERAL COORDINATOR OF PEOPLE’S DEFENCE FORCES DENIES EXECUTION OF PDF FOUR LEADERS
Khartoum, March. 20 (SUNA)- The General Coordinator of the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), Kamal – Eddin Ibrahim, has denied execution of four leaders of the PDF by the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) because they have refused to hand over their arms to the SPLA commanders in northern Upper Nile State. Ibrahim said in a statement to SUNA that no clashes have happened between the People’s Defence Forces (PDF) and SPLA troops in the Upper Nile State area. He affirmed the commitment of PDF to the process of arms’ collection, in accordance with the mechanisms stipulated by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
FIRST VICE – PRESIDENT RECEIVES ANWAK TRIBE DELEGATION
Khartoum, Mar. 20 (SUNA)- The First Vice – President, Salva Kiir, has reiterated the commitment of South Sudan Government to implement strategies and plans to enhance the development and services as well as the programmes for resettlement of the displaced and refugees in the southern states. This came when he received Monday at the Republican Palace a delegation of Anwak tribe. Kiir affirmed during the meeting the concern of South Sudan Government with expanding security and stability in south Sudan, prior to establishment of major development and services’ projects in the south. The delegation acquainted the First Vice – President and President of South Sudan Government with the conditions in the areas of Anwak tribe in Jongli State. The delegation called for establishment of development and services’ projects in the Anwak tribe areas toward boosting the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

Khartoum, Mars (SUNA)- The First Vice President, lieutenant- General Salva Kiir Mayardit, has reaffirmed the commitment of the government of southern Sudan to implement all the development and service provision strategies as well as the rehabilitation and relocation programmes for the refugees and the Internally displaced persons IDP. The First Vice President, General Kiir, who received a delegation from the Angwak tribe, led by Mr. David Ockier, at the republican palace on Monday that stressed that prevalence of peace and stability in the south remain a priority for the southern Sudanese government as a prelude for the execution of development and service programmes. The delegation had briefed the first vice president on the situation of services in the area of Jonglei and the lack of basic services which have been affected by the civil war.
