Seventeen Arab leaders to attend Khartoum summit
Mar 25, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese presidential adviser Mustafa Osman Ismail said that 17 Arab leaders would take part in the coming Arab summit to be held here on 28-29 March.
In a press statement Ismail said that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Saudi King Abdullah Bin-Abdulaziz and Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi would be there.
He denied reports about downgrading the level of representation at the Khartoum summit.
Other Arab leaders, he pointed out, including the Syrian president, the Jordanian monarch, the Yemeni president and the Iraqi president, will attend the summit.
Also, the Kuwait emir, the Algerian president, Qatar’s emir, the UAE president and the Lebanese president together with the presidents of Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania and the Comoros will participate, he added.
