General budget of southern Sudan approved
April 1, 2006 (JUBA)- The Council of Ministers of the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS), chaired by GOSS Vice President Dr. Riek Machar, has approved the general budget of Southern Sudan, which amounts to about 1.3 billion dollars.

Minister of Information of GOSS Dr. Samson Kwaje said the approval of the budget is a historic achievement, pointing that the budget would be submitted to the legislative council of Southern Sudan for final ratification.
