Egypt Mubarak arrives in Sudan on brief visit
April 4, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived here on Tuesday on a several hours’ visit to Sudan during which he will hold talks with his Sudanese counterpart Umar al-Bashir.
According to the Egyptian MENA, talks between the two leaders will cover the implementation of the Khartoum Declaration released by the Arab summit, held recently in Khartoum, and means of ending the ongoing conflict in Darfur.
A number of senior Sudanese officials along with Egypt’s Ambassador to Sudan Mohamed Fathi al-Shazli welcomed the Egyptian leader at the airport.
