Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia to meet December 1 on Horn of Africa conflicts

CAIRO, Nov 1 (AFP) — The foreign ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia will meet here on December 1 to discuss the conflicts plaguing the Horn of Africa, Egypt’s top diplomat Ahmed Maher said Saturday.

He said the meeting will study the situation “in Sudan and the Horn of Africa” but stressed that Egypt was “not entering into an axis or alliance.”

Maher was apparently referring to the exclusion of Eritrea, which has troubled relations with both Sudan and Ethiopia.
