Tribal clashes in southern Sudan between SPLA soldiers
April 7, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Fresh violence erupted in southern Sudan between Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) soldiers belonging to Dinak and Nuer tribes in the region
According to the daily Alwan clashes broke out in Wau town, capital of western Bahr al-Ghazal State, yesterday between factions of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army which is part of the joint forces in Wau.
The source said the clashes, which broke out following a dispute between groups belonging to the Dinka and Nuer tribes, resulted in a large number of soldiers being killed and wounded.
