Will SPLM have a better strategy?
Will SPLM have a better strategy?
After Rumbek Conference in April 4
By Mayar Mayar Kout
April 10, 2006 — I’m still skeptic to understand fully The SPLM/A’s version on foreign Affairs relations as well as its position over internal issues. We have seen important architect figure of the SPLM symbol leaders at highly rank of council are continue to exploit their struggled effort. By contradicting each other on the issues of marginalization areas of such of Darfur, Eastern Sudan. Globally, western worlds. some publication on American news agencies, Concord Monitor, Los Angles Times; Correspondent cited from their field source stated that the SPLM will lost 2008 election according the poll shown in Feb 23 2006. In a party territory, Blue Nile, Nuba Mountain, Darfur region…
As, I have continually writing an article trying to explore views, I’m not hereby blaming our symbol leader LT. Gen. Sulva, Kiir Mayardit the First-Vice president of Republic and president of GOSS and his cabinet But, there is a growing frustration within a members of the SPLM/A as it affiliated group because problems highlighted since the Comprehensive peace Agreement have been signed with Khartoum government. Some of these are One: reconstruction of the SPLM, Secondly: marginalization areas, security system, Third: economics and social. In addition to the party it foreign relations with United States, Western World as general we all experienced the SPLM/A its behavior toward above problems. The party has inclusively failed to overcome with solutions during internship as Gov of New Sudan. I have a summarized the important issues that our Gov failed to address the following issues.
The SPLM/A: foreign relations have been totally ignorance right after signatories of the comprehensive peace agreement. There was no strategy after the Nairobi agreement. The SPLM it still without clear agenda and their leaders are continue contradiction themselves we all saw in many occasion example to that once African Summit held in Khartoum. The SPLM was not prepared they have different opinions our Vice President LT. Gen Sulva Kiir Mayardit on news press and his counterpart foreign ministry Dr. Lam Akol Ajahwin. secondly, we learned when our President LT. Gen Sulva Kiir Mayar visited Washington DC and he was accompanied by Dr. Lam Akol Ajahwin there was disagreement on issues such sanctions on NIF regime, the region of Darfer, Nuba Mountain, Blue Nile, and region of Abayi. An other event has occurred recently once Madam Rebecca De Mabior visited Washington Dc.
The SPLM/A it internal agenda: it is becomes opposite to public expectation was that SPLM should have a clear version on issues of marginalization regions of Darfer, Eastern Sudan. Includes the crisis of democracy system in country. all those agenda are broader it needs a some consensus with an other political force get them on the process, but the SPLM have failed to keep its previous alliance with those of NDA forces as some of National Sudanese Party from Nuba Mountains conducted by Abona Philip, Albus Kabush.
The SPLM/A role on the issues Medias and publications such of the newspaper, Television Channel, local States TV these are still not existing till now, while there is a great numbers of our youngest journalist those of Khartoum Monitor News Paper. Are appears with enhancement qualifications they just need some training to prepare them for media press. we have seen some bad indication once the SPLM/A have disputed over ministry of Oil and Energy there was a two things occurred one crisis of Media the only source we were getting news from it! was our enemy it news paper which was totally jeopardized the SPLM/A position secondly, there was other crisis that was absence of one stand point for our leaders of SPLM/A all of wham were continue to make a statement contrary different with each other example.
In October 07 2006. On Al-Emirate News paper Dubai. Secretary General Pagun Amom Akeec “ the SPLM/A will fight its right openly in ongoing talk at the table with National Congress Party if there is no settlement then we will either to go back to Kenyan for renegotiation” that itself will handicap the entire peace to be open for negotiation and NIF regime hoping for the changes to backup those cases such of Abayi borders, relocation of emerging forces, some other commissions are none effectively working as we all expecting so there are many sensitive example need fully awareness.
In conclusion, all above issues I have underline are a main critical issues on our new leader of SPLM/A LT. Gen Sulva kiir Mayardit with his Cabinet and I’d hope the recent leadership council meeting in Rumbek should address the following proposal or outlines:-
– The SPLM should have a one clear version on its foreign relations that will be monitor closely by one Foreign Affairs Committee in the level of top SPLM high ranks hierarchy.
– The SPLM/A should work to find a way of getting access to establishing it news paper Television Channels at level of it whole territory areas a New Sudan Regions, Southern States, Blue Nile, Nuba Mountain, Abayi region in addition to the formation of the national journalist committee.
– The SPLM/A must engaged with an other political forces in the country that allows party to be effective and have initiative to contributes in resolving of Darfer conflict as well Easter Sudan and other marginalization areas. I would suggest that this file should monitor directly by our President LT. Gen Sulva Kiir Mayardit and his special political Advisers, Gen Secretary Pagun Amom Akeec, Commander Nhial Deng, Dr. Mounsor Khaled, Commander Deng Alor Commander Yasser Arman.
