Djibouti, Ethiopia hold ministerial conference
April 11, 2006 (DJIBOUTI) — A high-powered Ethiopian delegation arrived in the country today to attend the ninth inter-ministerial conference between Djibouti and Ethiopia which will open tomorrow 12 April.
The delegation, led by Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Minister Seyoum Mesfin, is composed of several ministers, the chairman of the board of Afar Regional Council, Ismail Ali, and the president of the revenue court in Ethiopia.
The two parties will discuss several topics of common interests. Issues related to culture, youth, sports, education and tourism will be the main focus of the meeting, the Djiboutian ADI agency reported .
They will also discuss issues related to telecommunication and terrestrial cables, EASSY submarine cable and finally electricity link between the two countries.
