Kenyan envoy on peace expected in Khartoum to meet officials

KHARTOUM, Nov. 03, 2003 — Gen Lazarus Sumbeiywo [Kenyan peace envoy] is expected to arrive in Khartoum in the next days to hold meetings with officials on the peace process in the country.

An official government delegation said Sumbeiywo had requested to visit Khartoum to meet some officials. The source said there was no attempt to change the date of the talks scheduled for 30 November.
