Presidential Decree No. (6) For the Year 2006
April 13, 2006 — According to Chapter 1 of the Interim Constitution of the SLM/A for the Year – 2005, and upon consulting with all political and military leaders, the negotiating Team in Abuja, external SLM/A’s offices, and in order to complete the interim organizational hierarchy to include all levels (national, regional, local and states’ level), now thereof, I, Abdulwahid Mohamed Ahmed Elnur, the Chairman of SLM/A, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the constitution, do hereby order and decree the following:
Section 1. Title & Effective Date: Decree No (6) – Appointment of Second Vice-President, Secretary General, Secretary for Presidential Affairs, and Presidential Advisors. The decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
Section 2. The following officers shall be appointed to fill the following positions;
– Mr. Ahmed Abdulshafi Yagoub — Second Vice-President
– Dr. Salih Adam Ishag — Secretary General
– Mr. Babiker Mohamed Abdalla (lawyer) – Secretary for Presidential Affairs
– Mr. Gamal Abdulrahman Arbab (lawyer) – SLM/A Coordinator with the AU’s Joint Ceasefire Commission
– Mr. Abulgasim Imam Elhag — Presidential Advisor for International Relations
– Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Musa Madibo – Presidential Advisor for Economic and Development Affairs
– Dr. Elsanosi Mohamed Elsanosi – Presidential Advisor for Peace and Political Affairs
– Dr. Abdulrahman Musa Abaker– Presidential Advisor for International and Regional Organizations Affairs
– Dr. Noureldin Abubaker Abdalla – Presidential Advisor for International Cooperation and Training
– Mr. Mohamed Adam Abdalla (lawyer) – Presidential Advisor for Security Affairs
– Mr. Gamal Abdulrahman Arbab (lawyer) – Presidential Advisor for Humanitarian Affairs
– Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Yousif (lawyer) – Presidential Advisor for Legal Affairs
– Mr. Hafiz Yousif Abdulrahman (lawyer) – Presidential Advisor for Strategic Planning
– Mr. Ismail Idris Nawai (lawyer) – Presidential Advisor for Information and Media Affairs
Section 6. All competent Authorities, each within its own jurisdiction and area, shall implement this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
