Dubai CSL firm signs Sudan supply deal

DUBAI, Nov. 06, 2003 — Cirrus Software Labs FZ LLC (CSL), an IT company with multiple business lines covering packaged products, offshore software development services and custom application projects, has signed a deal to supply IT related services to Al Hadaff Steel Industries of Sudan.

Under the deal, CSL, based at Dubai Internet City, will provide IT related services to Al Hadaff Steel Industries. The deal encompasses the supply, customisation, deployment and training of Enterprise Resource Planning Software – Cirrussoft.net.

“Cirrussoft.net will take care of the inter-departmental processes at Al Hadaff,” said Biju Ninan, COO of Cirrus Software Labs. “Cirrussoft.net core manufacturing industry processes include raw material procurement to management, production planning, quality assurance and control, project costing and estimation, while the finance module takes care of accounts payables/receivables and general ledger.

The official signing was attended by Chairman and Managing Director of Al Hadaff, Abdel Latif, and by Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Dubai Internet City. Cirussoft.net modules include asset management, inventory, warehouse management, logistics, purchase, sale, HR, payroll and marketing, management information systems, and equipment and material management.

Ninan said apart from assisting inter-departmental processes, communication, and decision-making, Cirrussoft.net also integrates the entire business chain including production, quality control, costings and project management. This chain has the flexibility to access information via email, Internet browser or palmtop/ laptop/ mobile
