Eastern Sudan rebels to organize media compaign in Europe
May 1, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — The rebel Eastern Front is intent upon convening an international conference in Germany in May with the participation of international experts. In addition the Eastern Front intends to launch a large media campaign in Europe and America to explain its case.
A prominent Eastern Front leader said that the idea of the conference was based on an initiative put forward by Eastern Front friends in America and Germany aimed at boosting political and technical support for the Eastern Front.
He pointed out that the Eastern Front leadership meetings which were held in what is called the liberated territories had issued three decisions. These included entering into negotiations with the government of national unity, activating internal Eastern Front work, and organizing a large media campaign in Europe and America to explain the case of the east.
He pointed out that the Eastern Front would begin contacting its friends who were international politics and law experts this week in preparation for the launching of the conference.
