Sudan, China agree to boost industrial investment

May 3, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan and China agreed to boost fields of industrial investment between the two countries particularly in the sector of petrochemical and engineering industries.

State Minister for Industry, Eng. Ali Ahmed Osman received Wednesday a number of Chinese companies. He tacked with the Chinese delegation bilateral cooperation between Sudan and China and possibility of establishing further industrial investments.

The Sudanese minister praised China’s efforts in establishing many development projects in Sudan especially in the fields of oil, petrochemical, mining and textile industries and establishment of hospitals.

Osman also hailed China for its supporting stances to Sudan in all international arenas, affirming provision of the necessary support and facilities to the Chinese businessmen and investors, commending the industrial development China witnesses.
