German-Sudanese dual national missing in Sudan – Berlin

May 16, 2006 (BERLIN) — A man with dual German and Sudanese citizenship has gone missing in Sudan, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman, speaking on customary condition of anonymity, confirmed a report by N24 television that a German-Sudanese dual national who was living and working in the African nation had been registered as missing since May 2.

Officials at the German embassies in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and in neighboring Eritrea are working to help clarify the case, the spokesman said. He did not give further details.
