Sudanese minister arrives in Havana for cooperation talks

HAVANA, Nov. 10, 2003 (AIN) — Sudanese International Cooperation Minister Yusuf Sulayman Takana arrived in Havana today to preside over his country’s delegation to the first session of the Joint Cuba- Sudan Commission that begins today.
Following his arrival at the Jose Marti International Airport, the illustrious visitor expressed his interest in strengthening even further the relations between the two governments and peoples and strengthening the political and economic sectors, according to Granma newspaper.
He added: We expect to reach important accords in the areas of health, education, sports, agriculture, and the sugar and pharmaceutical industries, among others. The visitor added that the talks will determine how many other sectors it will be possible to work together in.
