Ruling party says keen to maintain SPLM partnership
June 7, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for Political and Organizational Affairs, Nafie Ali Nafie, has affirmed the keenness of the National Congress to maintain its political partnership with Sudan Liberation Movement (SPLM).
He stressed that this partnership will lead to more gains and bolsters the national unity.
Addressing Wednesday at headquarters of the National Congress the First Students’ Forum of the South Sector, Nafie pointed out that realization of the national unity is the responsibility of all the Sudanese people.
He appreciated outcome of the recent Joint Meeting of the Executive Bureaus of the National Congress and Sudan Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the positive spirit which characterized this meeting.
Nafie said that the coming stage will witness intensive work of the National Congress in the southern states, with the participation of political leaderships and students.
The First Students’ Forum of the South Sector concluded its sittings Wednesday evening. The speakers at the forum called for reactivation of the National Congress work in the southern states, concern with services and the unity of rank.
