Justice and Equality Movement defeats GOS’s Forces and its Para-military militia in Darfur

Sudan Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) defeats the Sudan Government Forces and its Para-military militia in Western Darfur State of Sudan

A fierce fighting is been going on since 11 November 03 between the Sudan Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) Fighters and the Sudan Government Forces and its Para-military militias in Western Darfur State.

The fighting has taken place in different areas of the state, like Moon Mountain Northeast of EL-Geneina city and Hilaylat Eastern garrison town of Kulbus.

The fighting broke out when the government troops and allied militias engaged in scorched-earth attacks and intensified indiscriminate aerial bombardment of civilian target.

The conflict resulted in defeat for the Government forces and its militias; a great loss on the government forces is inflicted.

The Sudan Justice and Equality Movement fighters confirmed that they had shot an Apache helicopter down and captured a large quantity of military equipment.

JEM fighters confirm that the fighting will continue in different parts of the region.
