Eritrea shows interest to import oil from Sudan
Aug 1, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — In a new move in the amelioration of the bilateral relations between the two countries, Eritrean government showed interest to import its oil needs from the Sudan.
In a meeting held Tuesday with the Sudanese minister of energy and mining, the visiting Eritrean Minister of Finance affirmed the keenness of his country to import its energy needs from the Sudan.
The meeting discussed means of boosting the bilateral relations between Sudan and Eritrea, particularly in the energy field.
The visiting Eritrean delegation held talks with the Second Vice-President Ali Osman Taha and the Minister of finance and national economy.
