Libyan leader pledges to fund health projects in Sudan
Aug 12, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi pledged to fund health projects in the Sudanese region affected by the war. He made this promise during the visit of the Sudanese minister of health, Dr Tabitha Butrus, to Libya last week.
Colonel leader Muammar Gadhafi has announced his commitment to fund health projects in Sudan particularly in areas affected by war in the south, Darfur, Kordofan and the Blue Nile regions, the Sudanese minister of health said.
The minister of health, Dr Tabitha Butrus, was in an official visit to Libya where she met the Libyan leader on 6 August. She expressed her deep appreciation to Gadhafi constant stand and support of the Sudanese People to establish peace and preserve its national unity.
The Sudanese Minister expressed readiness to work on the Al-Gaddafi Strategic Project for the African Woman, Child and Youth, underlining the historical significance of this Project to realize the civilized transition at the level of human development in the Continent.
