Sudanese rebel leader Garang expected in Algiers in “next few days”

ALGIERS, Nov. 29, 2003 — The Sudanese peace talks are due to resume in the Kenyan town of Nevasha next Monday [1 December]. A number of issues, such as sharing resources and power, will be discussed at this new round of talks.
According to the latest reports, the leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, Dr John Garang, is expected in Algeria in the next few days.
