Ethiopia’s PM appoints new state minister of transport

Sept 6, 2006 (ADDIS ABABA) — Prime Minstar Meles Zenawi has appointed David Ruach Tang as state minister of transport and communications.

Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday announced the appointment of David Ruach Tang as state minister of transport and communications is effective as of 11 September 2006, the official ENA reported.

David has served as assistant lecturer in Gambela Teachers’ Education and Health Science College and Head of Curriculum Research Department of the Gambela Education Bureau for 14 years.

David is a member of the House of Peoples’ Representatives and Deputy Chairman of the Social Affairs Standing Committee of the House, the office said.

David has rich experience and the necessary educational background to assume the position, the office said.
