Sudan’s ruling party to participate in Ethiopia’s EPRDF conference
Sept 24, 2006 (ADDIS ABABA) — Deputy chairman of the Sudanese ruling National Congress Party for Political and Organizational Affairs Nafei Ali Nafei participates in the celebrations of the Ethiopian Peoples Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), the ruling party in Ethiopia, on convocation of the party’s 6th conference Sunday.
Member of the Secretariat of External Relations at the NCP and member of the delegation Ambassador Osman al-Sayed said in a statement to State-run SUNA that Nafei would address the EPRDF conference.
Nafei will convey compliments of the chairperson of the NCP, president Omar al-Bashir, to the ruling party in Ethiopia and his keenness on continuation of cooperation between the two countries in all fields in the context of their distinguished relations.
He added that the delegation carries a message from al-Bashir, to the Ethiopian prime minister, Meles Zenawi.
He further said that the delegation would hold meetings with the officials in Addis Ababa and brief them on developments in Sudan.
