Pakistan-Sudan Cooperation In Railways Sector Discussed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Dec 04, 2003 (PNS) — Ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan, Awadh Mohamed Hassan called on Minister for Railways, Ghous Bux Khan Maher here on Wednesday and discussed possibilities of Pak-Sudan cooperation in railways sector.

The Minister offered technical assistance for the uplift of railway set up of Sudan. Ghous Bux Maher briefed the Ambassador about the railway system in Pakistan and various ongoing development projects.

Pakistan, he said, attaches high priority to the long term relations with brotherly Muslim countries. The Sudanese Ambassador extended invitation to the Minister for visit of Sudan which he accepted.

Secretary/Chairman Railways, Khurshid Ahmed Khan, Secretary Railways Board, Liaquat Hussain, General Manager, Manufacturing and Service, Hamid Hassan Butt were also present on the occasion.
