Salva Kiir call for quick construction of roads in South Sudan
Oct 13, 2006 (JUBA) — The First Vice-President and the President of the Southern Sudan Government, Salva Kiir Mayardit, called for swift connection of southern Sudan cities.
Kiir called on the Minister of Roads and Bridges in Southern Sudan Government, Rebecca Niydeng to speed up implementation of internal roads in the south for linking its cities together.
This came when the First Vice-President of the Republic was addressing a ceremony on the occasion of inauguration of the new premises of the Ministry of Roads and Bridges in Southern Sudan government.
He further added that development and rehabilitation of the infrastructures will not be completed without establishment of roads and bridges, pointing out roads are needed in this stage for facilitating transportation of the people and materials.
The new premises of the Ministry of Roads and Bridges in Juba was executed by the American Agency for Development (USAIDS).
