Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement

Oct 15, 2006 (ASMARA) — Attached the full text of Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement signed in the Eritrean capital Asmara, between the Sudanese government and the rebel Eastern Front on Saturday 14 October. The power-sharing deal gives the Eastern Front one Assistant to the President, one Presidential advisor and one post of State Minister. The Eastern Front also gets eight parliamentary seats in Khartoum and 10 parliamentary seats in each of the three eastern states, among other posts. (ST) Eastern_Sudan_Peace_Agreement.pdf
